ALEUTIANS EAST BOROUGH, AK—According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 6.2 magnitude quake occurred near Sand Point Sunday afternoon.
The tremor, which struck the area at 10:28 p.m. (2:28 p.m. local time), was centered roughly 50 miles south-southeast of Sand Point. It occurred at a depth of 29 miles.
