According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.0 magnitude quake jolted close to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Sunday afternoon.

A tremor rattled the area at 06:02 UTC (17:02 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was located about 137 km east of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and occurred at a depth of 10 km.
