Update: July 18 – 5.4 magnitude earthquake registered near Shwebo, Burma (Myanmar)

PYIN OO LWIN, Mandalay Region—According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.4 magnitude quake occurred near Shwebo Friday afternoon.

The tremor jolted at 09:30 UTC (16:00 local time), with its epicenter located roughly 35 km east-northeast of Shwebo and a depth of 10 km.
