ALMERÍA, AN — A 5.2 magnitude quake was recorded near San José Monday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
It was reported that a tremor hit the region at 05:13 UTC (07:13 local time). The epicenter was situated roughly 21 km southeast of San José, at a depth of 10 km.

Moderate shaking was detected, and residents in several cities—including San Miguel de Salinas, El Ejido, Vera, Cuevas del Almanzora and Mojácar—reported feeling the tremor, according to the USGS DYFI report.
