IMPERIAL COUNTY, CA — A 2.1 magnitude quake was registered near Calipatria Friday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
A tremor shook the area at 3:22 a.m. The earthquake’s epicenter was located approximately 8 miles west-northwest of Calipatria and occurred at a depth of just 3 miles.
