According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 6.6 magnitude quake occurred near Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Sunday afternoon.
It was reported that a tremor rocked the area at 06:28 UTC (17:28 local time). The epicenter was situated about 142 km east of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, at a depth of 23 km.
