Update: Earthquake shakes region close to Qarnābād, Iran on July 19 – 5.4 magnitude detected

ALIABAD, Golestan Province—Saturday morning, a 5.4 magnitude quake was registered close to Qarnābād, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

At 21:37 UTC (01:07 local time), the area was hit by a tremor. The earthquake jolted at a depth of 10 km, with its epicenter roughly 31 km east of Qarnābād.
