A 5.4 magnitude quake occurred close to Mid-Atlantic Ridge on Wednesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

A tremor struck the area at 08:35 UTC (05:35 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was north of Mid-Atlantic Ridge and occurred at a depth of 10 km. Seismologists first reported it as a 4.9 event, but later upgraded it to 5.4.
