SAN BENITO COUNTY, CA — Saturday morning, a 3.5 magnitude quake was registered near Pinnacles, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The tremor shook the area at 1:31 a.m. It occurred at a depth of 7 miles with the epicenter positioned about 4 miles east of Pinnacles.

Those who felt the earthquake are encouraged to report it via the USGS Felt Report form. The agency has received 23 responses on its online form so far, from people saying they experienced the quake. Weak shaking was recorded, and people in several cities—including Carmel, Seaside and Soledad—reported experiencing the tremor, according to the USGS DYFI report.
