According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 7.3 magnitude quake rocked close to 2025 Sand Point Wednesday morning.

The tremor slammed the region at 8:37 p.m. (9:37 a.m. local time). It occurred at a depth of 12 miles with the epicenter located near 2025 Sand Point.
