A 7.3 magnitude quake was recorded near 2025 Sand Point Wednesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

A tremor struck the region at 8:37 p.m. (9:37 a.m. local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was situated near 2025 Sand Point and occurred at a depth of 12 miles.
