According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 7.3 magnitude quake occurred close to 2025 Sand Point Wednesday morning.

A tremor slammed the area at 8:37 p.m. (9:37 a.m. local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was located near 2025 Sand Point and occurred at a depth of 12 miles.
