BARÚ DISTRICT, CHIRIQUÍ — around midday Monday, a 6.2 magnitude quake was recorded near Burica, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

It was reported that a tremor shook the region at 17:16 UTC (11:16 local time). The epicenter was located about 206 km south of Burica, at a depth of 10 km.
