ALEUTIANS EAST BOROUGH, AK—around midday Wednesday, a 5.4 magnitude quake was reported near Sand Point, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor struck the area at 8:42 p.m. (12:42 p.m. local time). It occurred at a depth of 27 miles with the epicenter situated roughly 58 miles south-southeast of Sand Point.
