Update: 5.4 magnitude earthquake recorded close to Qarnābād, Iran on July 19

ALIABAD, Golestan Province—A 5.4 magnitude quake was detected near Qarnābād Saturday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor, which hit the area at 21:37 UTC (01:07 local time), was centered approximately 31 km east of Qarnābād. It occurred at a depth of 10 km.
