Update: 2.0 magnitude earthquake reported close to Livermore, CA on July 13

ALAMEDA COUNTY, CA — According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a preliminary 2.0 magnitude quake shook close to Livermore Sunday night.

The tremor, which struck the area at 10:41 p.m., was centered about 7 miles south-southeast of Livermore. It occurred at a depth of 11 miles.

Two tremors near Loyola last week

Over the past week, there have been two tremors exceeding magnitude 2.5 centered near Loyola. The largest, a 3.0 magnitude earthquake, struck six days ago, while the other, measuring 2.6, occurred on July 8.
