The Springfield Jr. Blues lagged behind ahead of the third period in their game on Friday, March 20, 2025 against the Chippewa Steel at Chippewa Area Ice Arena.
But the team overcame the odds to win 3-2.
Springfield’s Jack Klevby scored the game-winning goal.
The first period was scoreless, and early in the second period, the Steel took the lead when Camden Davis scored assisted by Tomas Trunda.
The Steel made it 2-0 with a goal from Matic Percic.
Jr. Bues’ Cruz Martin tallied a goal six minutes into the period, making the score 2-1. Jagur McClelland and Niko Laus assisted.
The Jr. Bues tied the score 2-2, only 34 seconds into the third when Logan Ganz scored, assisted by Conner Broadhead and Gaige Giblin.
Jack Klevby took the lead with a goal seven minutes later, assisted by Logan Ganz and Conner Broadhead.
