Southampton ended losing streak after 1-1 to Crystal Palace

The game between Southampton and visiting Crystal Palace in the Premier League finished 1-1. The result means that Southampton finally ended their five-game losing streak.

The the Saints started the match well and took the lead when Paul Onuachu netted in the 20th minute, with an assist by Mateus Fernandes, making it 1-0.

The equaliser came in extra time, when Matheus Franca found the net for Crystal Palace.

The game was however the sixth in a row without a win for Southampton.

The result means Southampton stay in 20th and last place and Crystal Palace are in 12th.

The previous outing between the teams ended in a 2-1 home win for Crystal Palace in December.

Southampton’s next Premier League games are against Tottenham (away) on 5 April, Southampton (home) on 11 April and West Ham (away) on 18 April. Crystal Palace play Brighton (home) on 4 April, Manchester City (away) on 11 April and Newcastle (away) on 15 April.
