Six-Game Winless Streak Broken as Sheffield Wednesday Defeats Middlesbrough 2-1

With a spirited performance, Sheffield Wednesday has emerged victorious in the Championship, defeating Middlesbrough 2-1 to end their six-game drought and get back on track.

The Boro scored the first goal when Finn Azaz netted after 11 minutes, making it 1-0.

In the 54th minute, Josh Windass equalised for Sheffield Wednesday.

The deciding goal came in the final minutes, when Anthony Musaba found the net for the Wednesday, to complete Sheff Wed’s come back.

With two games remaining, Sheffield Wednesday are in 13th place in the table while Middlesbrough are in seventh.

The previous match between the teams ended in a 3-3 draw, with Middlesbrough at home in December.

Sheffield Wednesday’s next Championship games are against Portsmouth (home) on 25 April and Watford (away) on 2 May. Middlesbrough play Norwich City (home) on 25 April and Coventry (away) on 2 May.
