Sioux Falls Stampede win 9-2 against Green Bay Gamblers

The Sioux Falls Stampede won at Resch Center on Saturday, April 04, 2025, handing the Green Bay Gamblers a defeat 9-2.

The Gamblers started off strong and took the lead right after the puck drop with David Green scoring in the first period, assisted by Cooper Cleaves.

The Stampede’s Reid Varkonyi tied it up in the first period, assisted by Ethan Wyttenbach and Aleksandr Rybakov.

The Stampede’s Ben Wilmott took the lead in the middle of the first period, assisted by Brent Solomon and Filip Nordberg.

The Stampede increased the lead to 3-1 with a goal from Gennadi Chaly late in the first, assisted by Ritter Coombs and Ben Wilmott.

The Stampede scored four goals in second period an held the lead 7-1 going in to the second break.

Ethan Wyttenbach made it 8-1 with a goal in the middle of the third period, assisted by Reid Varkonyi and Alexei Vlasov.

Aidan Park narrowed the gap to 8-2 with a goal five minutes later, assisted by Will Zellers.

The Stampede increased the lead to 9-2 with 34 seconds remaining of the third after a goal from Reid Varkonyi, assisted by Ethan Wyttenbach and Noah Urness.
