Sioux City Musketeers’ winning streak broken by Tri-City Storm

The Sioux City Musketeers have enjoyed a great period of success and ahead of the game against the Tri-City Storm, Sioux City was on a run of seven straight wins.

But, Sunday’s game on April 05, 2025, at Tyson Events Center finished 5-2 and the winning streak was ended.

The Musketeers took the lead early in the first period, with a goal from Giacomo Martino. Landen Gunderson and Shayne Gould assisted.

The Storm tied the score 1-1 early in the second period when Artemi Nizameyev found the back of the net.

The Storm made it 2-1 halfway through when Rylan Bonkowski scored, assisted by Artemi Nizameyev and Ilya Morozov.

The Musketeers made it 2-2 with a goal from Nicholas Sykora.

The Storm took the lead early in the third period when Shaun McEwen netted one, assisted by Artemi Nizameyev and Ashton Dahms.

Cooper Simpson increased the lead to 4-2 with a goal six minutes later, assisted by Shaun McEwen.

Attila Lippai also made it 5-2 with a goal eight minutes later.

Next up:

The Musketeers are set to face Waterloo at 7:05 p.m. CST at Young Arena, while the Storm meet Lincoln at 7:05 p.m. CST at Ice Box. Both games take place Friday, April 11, 2025.
