Saturday morning, a 5.4 magnitude quake was recorded near South Sandwich Islands region, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

It was reported that a tremor shook the region at 04:32 UTC (02:32 local time). The epicenter was situated of South Sandwich Islands region, at a depth of 55 km.
