Update: Oct. 3 – 5.0 magnitude earthquake registered close to Santa Monica, Philippines

PAMPANGA, Central Luzon — the U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 5.0 magnitude quake struck near Santa Monica Friday morning.

At 23:42 UTC (07:42 local time), the region was shaken by a tremor. The earthquake rattled at a depth of 10 km, with its epicenter roughly 95 km east-northeast of Santa Monica.
