Update: May 17 – 5.0 magnitude earthquake reported near Liuzhou, China

A 5.0 magnitude quake occurred close to Liuzhou at midnight on Sunday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor shook at 16:21 UTC (00:21 local time), with its epicenter roughly 21 km northwest of Liuzhou and a depth of 10 km.
