A 5.0 magnitude quake occurred near Coquimbo on Sunday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The USGS reported a tremor in the region at 14:42 UTC (09:42 local time). The epicenter was approximately 98 km northwest of Coquimbo, at a depth of 10 km.
