A 5.0 magnitude quake rattled close to Ternate on Thursday night, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

A tremor shook the area at 14:16 UTC (23:16 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was roughly 78 km west-northwest of Ternate and occurred at a depth of 35 km.
