System name: Jerry

The remnant system was last addressed in a final advisory by the National Hurricane Center at 4 p.m. Saturday. Jerry weakened and had devolved from a tropical storm into a remnant with sustained winds of 45 mph. Remnants of Jerry are in the Atlantic Ocean, 330 miles south-southeast of Bermuda. Packing maximum sustained winds of 45 mph, it is tracking north at 16 mph.

“The remnants are expected to continue producing gale-force winds until it merges with a frontal boundary in a day or two”, analysts stated.

Hazards affecting land

Surf. Swells are affecting the Leeward Islands, Virgin Islands,

Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, the Turks and Caicos Islands, and the Bahamas. These swells will likely cause life-threatening surf and rip current conditions.
