On Saturday at 4 p.m. the National Weather Service issued an updated red flag warning valid for Sunday between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. for Fremont County including Canon City/Howard/Texas Creek.

Expect winds to be west 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph and relative humidity as low as 10%.

“Fires will catch and spread quickly. Exercise extreme caution and avoid any outdoor burning,” explains the NWS.
