Penn State won the playoff knock-out game against Connecticut 3-2 in a game that went to overtime, on Sunday, March 29, 2025.
PSU’s Matt Dimarsico scored the game-winning goal.
The Huskies opened strong, at the beginning of the game with Joey Muldowney scoring in the first period, goal assisted by Jake Richard and Hudson Schandor.
The Nittany Lions’ Dane Dowiak tied it up late in the first period, assisted by Tyler Paquette and Keaton Peters.
Tabor Heaslip scored in the middle of the second period, assisted by Viking Gustafsson Nyberg and John Spetz.
Halfway through, JJ Wiebusch scored a goal, assisted by Charlie Cerrato and Simon Mack, making the score 2-2.
In overtime, it took 17:56 before Matt Dimarsico scored the game-winner for the team, assisted by Charlie Cerrato.
