At 2:53 p.m. on Monday, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality reported an air quality alert in effect until Tuesday at 6 p.m. The alert is for Wise, Denton, Collin, Parker, Tarrant, Dallas, Hood, Johnson, Hunt, Rockwall, Kaufman, Ellis and Henderson counties.

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has issued an Ozone Action Day for the Dallas-Fort Worth area for Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2025, with atmospheric conditions expected to favor high levels of ozone air pollution. Recommended steps to help prevent ozone pollution include sharing a ride, walking, riding a bicycle, taking your lunch to work, avoiding drive-through lanes, conserving energy and keeping your vehicle properly tuned.
