The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality reported an updated air quality alert at 2:13 p.m. on Friday in effect until Saturday at 5:15 p.m. The alert is for Wise, Denton, Collin, Parker, Tarrant, Dallas, Hood, Johnson, Hunt, Rockwall, Kaufman, Ellis and Henderson counties.

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has announced an Ozone Action Day for the Dallas-Fort Worth area on Saturday, September 20, 2025. Conditions in the atmosphere are anticipated to create high levels of ozone air pollution in the region on that day. To help reduce ozone pollution, the TCEQ suggests options such as carpooling, walking, biking, bringing lunch to work, avoiding drive-through lanes, conserving energy, and ensuring vehicles are well-maintained.
