On Tuesday, Arsenal outlasted Fulham in a close encounter, winning 2-1 at home the Premier League.

Arsenal broke the deadlock in the 37th minute with a goal from Mikel Merino, with an assist by Ethan Nwaneri.

It took until the 73rd minute before Bukayo Saka increased the lead.

The goal that reduced the score to 2-1 came in stoppage time, when Rodrigo Muniz netted for Fulham, with an assist by Ryan Sessegnon.

The result means Arsenal stay in second place and Fulham are in eighth. Arsenal are 9 points behind Liverpool.

The previous match between the teams ended in a 1-1 draw, with Fulham at home in December.

Arsenal play Everton on 4 April, Brentford on 11 April and Ipswich (away) on 19 April. Fulham’s next opponents are Liverpool on 5 April, Bournemouth on 13 April and Chelsea (home) on 19 April.
