Mbeumo’s Brace Inspires Brentford’s Triumph Over Brighton

Brentford clinched a resounding 4-2 victory over Brighton at Brentford Community Stadium in Saturday’s Premier League showdown.

Brentford started the match best and took the lead when Bryan Mbeumo netted after 9 minutes, making it 1-0.

Brighton equalised 1-1 just before the half-time whistle as Danny Welbeck found the net, with an assist by Mats Wieffer.

Straight after the break, Bryan Mbeumo scored and gave Brentford the lead again.

With 58 minutes on the clock, Brentford’s Yoane Wissa found the net following a Bryan Mbeumo assist to double their lead.

Brighton’s Joao Pedro was sent off in the 61st minute.

Nine minutes left to play, Brighton’s Kaoru Mitoma reduced.

The 4-2 goal came in extra time, when Christian Norgaard scored for Brentford.

It was Brighton’s fifth game in a row without a win.

Brentford remains in 11th place and Brighton is in 10th.

The previous outing between the teams ended in a 0-0 draw, with Brighton at home in December.
