BATANGAS, Calabarzon — A 5.0 magnitude quake hit near Hukay at midnight on Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The USGS reported a tremor in the region at 16:04 UTC (00:04 local time). The epicenter was approximately 2 km north-northeast of Hukay, at a depth of 177 km.
