Madison Capitols keep on winning and now have four straight wins

It was smooth sailing for the Madison Capitols as they claimed another victory on Friday, March 20, 2025 against the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders, making it four in a row.

They won 3-1 over Cedar Rapids.

The first period was scoreless, and, after only 31 seconds into the second period, the Capitols took the lead when Aiden Long scored assisted by Gavin Uhlenkamp.

Late, Diego Johnson scored a goal, assisted by Bobby Cowan and Egor Barabanov, making the score 2-0.

Heath Nelson narrowed the gap to 2-1 with a goal early in the third period, assisted by Thomas Vandenberg and Martin Masa.

The Capitols increased the lead to 3-1 with one second remaining of the third after a goal from Sam Kappell.

Next up:

The Capitols are set to face Dubuque at 7:05 p.m. CST at ImOn Arena, while the RoughRiders meet Waterloo at 7:05 p.m. CST at ImOn Ice Arena. Both games will be played on Saturday, March 22, 2025.
