It was smooth sailing for the Madison Capitols as they claimed another victory on Saturday, March 21, 2025 against the Dubuque Fighting Saints, making it five in a row.
They won 5-3 over Dubuque.
Five goals were scored in the first period, and the Capitols led 3-2 going in to the second period.
The Capitols scored zero goals in second period an held the lead 3-2 going in to the second break.
Michael Barron tied the game 3-3 with a goal halfway through the third period, assisted by Heikki Ruohonen and Colin Frank.
The Capitols took the lead with 01.48 remaining of the third after a goal from Egor Barabanov, assisted by Drew Waterfield.
The Capitols increased the lead to 5-3 with 58 seconds remaining of the third after a goal from Gavin Uhlenkamp, assisted by Sam Kappell.
The Fighting Saints were whistled for six penalties, while the Capitols received eight penalties.
