A report was issued from the National Weather Service on Tuesday at 6:46 a.m. for patchy fog until 9 a.m. The alert is for Inland Palm Beach County, Metro Palm Beach County, Coastal Collier County, Inland Collier County, Inland Broward County, Metro Broward County, Inland Miami-Dade County, Metropolitan Miami Dade, Coastal Palm Beach County, Coastal Broward County, Coastal Miami Dade County and Far South Miami-Dade County as well as Glades, Hendry and Mainland Monroe counties.
“Observations across South Florida show reduced visibility over parts of the area this morning in association with fog. Visibility will be reduced to a mile or less over some areas through 9 a.m. Motorists are urged to use extra caution during the morning commute as visibility may vary widely over short distances. Use low beam headlights and leave extra distance between your vehicle and others on the road. Allow extra time to reach your destination,” according to the NWS.
