Update: Severe thunderstorm warning previously issued for Elbert County will expire at 3:15 p.m.

The warning was active for Elbert County.

“The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property. Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire. However, small hail, gusty winds, and heavy rain are still possible with this thunderstorm. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 9 p.m. Sunday for a portion of east central Colorado,” says the National Weather Service.
