The National Weather Service issued an updated red flag warning at 10:51 a.m. on Wednesday in effect until 9 p.m. for Little Snake and White River.

Winds are forecasted to be southwest 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph and relative humidity 13 to 18%.

“Wind gusts up to 45 to 55 mph and critical fuels will overcome marginal relative humidity values on Wednesday, leading to widespread critical fire weather conditions in Colorado zones 200 and 202,” states the NWS. “Elevated fire danger is expected. Fires will catch and spread rapidly and erratically.”
