It has been a long time since Leicester claimed a victory in the Premier League and Monday’s home game to Newcastle did not change things. The match finished 3-0 at King Power Stadium and was Leicester’s eighth game in a row without a win.

The Magpies were quickest out of the blocks, and went 1-0 up when Jacob Murphy netted in the second minute on a pass from Tino Livramento.

In the 11th minute Jacob Murphy increased the lead for Newcastle.

The Geordies further increased the lead as Harvey Barnes found the net in the 34th minute. The second half was goalless and the match ended with a 3-0 win for the Magpies.

Newcastle are in fifth place after the game, while Leicester are in 19th.

The previous meeting between the teams ended in a 4-0 home win for Newcastle in December.
