Latest update from the NHC on the Tropical Depression for Wednesday, May 28

System type: Tropical depression

The National Hurricane Center issued the first advisory for the tropical depression at 4 pm Wednesday. The tropical depression is currently at the Pacific Ocean, 835 miles south-southeast of the Southern Tip of Baja California. The system, with maximum sustained winds of 35 mph, is moving to the northwest at 9 mph.

“Some strengthening is forecast over the next couple of days” according to meteorologists.
