System type: Tropical depression

According to the National Hurricane Center’s 10 pm Wednesday advisory, the tropical depression is currently at the Pacific Ocean, 770 miles south-southeast of the Southern Tip of Baja California. The system, with maximum sustained winds of 35 mph, is moving to the north-northwest at 9 mph. The tropical depression is forecast to strengthen into a tropical storm on Thursday.
