According to the National Hurricane Center’s 10 a.m. Sunday advisory, Tropical Storm Fernand is in the Atlantic Ocean, 295 miles east-southeast of Bermuda. The system, with maximum sustained winds of 40 mph, is moving to the north-northeast at 15 mph.
“… Fernand should move across the open waters of the subtropical North Atlantic well east and northeast of Bermuda”, meteorologists observed. They also said “Some strengthening is forecast during the next 48 hours, though a weakening trend is expected by late Tuesday.”
