Update: Earthquake measuring 5.2 shakes area close to San Fernando, Peru on June 3

CORONEL PORTILLO, Ucayali — A 5.2 magnitude quake struck near San Fernando on Wednesday around midday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

At 17:21 UTC (12:21 local time), a tremor jolted the region at a depth of 147 km, with its epicenter roughly 30 km northeast of San Fernando.
