‘EUA PROPE, ‘Eua — A 5.8 magnitude quake was recorded close to ‘Ohonua Saturday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The tremor, which shook the area at 20:59 UTC (08:59 local time), was centered about 99 km east-northeast of ‘Ohonua. It occurred at a depth of 12 km.
