Update: Seismic activity on Jan. 23 – 5.1 magnitude earthquake close to Panama recorded

NATÁ DISTRICT, Coclé Province — According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.1 magnitude quake struck close to Panama Friday morning.

The tremor hit at 08:19 UTC (02:19 local time), with its epicenter located south of Panama and a depth of 10 km.
