The Maryland Black Bears are now in a strong position.
When the team met the Philadelphia Rebels on Friday, March 20, 2025 at Hollydell Ice Arena, they secured their third win in a row. The team won 3-2, seemingly bringing their hard times to an end.
Maryland’s Luke Janus scored the game-winning goal.
The first period was scoreless, and late in the second period, the Black Bears took the lead when Isac Nielsen scored the first goal assisted by Victor Mannebratt and Sebastian Speck.
Ruslan Jamaldinov tied it up 1-1 with a goal in the middle of the third period, assisted by Billy Sheridan and Ryan Vaites.
Owen Drury took the lead with a goal four minutes later, assisted by Luke Janus and Sebastian Speck.
Ruslan Jamaldinov also tied the game 2-2 with a goal one minute later, assisted by Ryan Bunting and Billy Sheridan.
Just just one minute later Luke Janus scored, assisted by Sebastian Speck and Tyler Stern, and decided the game.
