The Des Moines Buccaneers are now in a strong position.
When the team met the Sioux City Musketeers on Saturday, April 11, 2025 at MidAmerican Energy Company RecPlex, they secured their third win in a row. The team won 4-1, seemingly bringing their hard times to an end.
The Buccaneers took the lead early in the first period, with a goal from Keaton Orrey. Michael Burchill and Reese Shaw assisted.
The Musketeers tied the game 1-1 in the first period when Landen Gunderson scored, assisted by Dallas Vieau and Tate Pritchard.
The Buccaneers’ Blake Zielinski took the lead late in the first, assisted by Andrew Clarke and Richard Baran.
The Buccaneers increased the lead to 3-1, only 48 seconds into the third when Aiden Grossklaus found the back of the net, assisted by Yaroslav Bryzgalov and Jacob Jastrzebski.
Blake Zielinski made it 4-1 with a goal late in the third period.
