An updated heat advisory was issued by the National Weather Service on Wednesday at 2:26 a.m. valid between 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. The advisory is for McCulloch, San Saba, Menard, Kimble and Mason counties.
The NWS states to be ready for, “Temperatures around the 105 degree mark.”
“Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses,” adds the NWS.

• Dress comfortably: Wear lightweight and loose-fitting clothing to stay cool.

• The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recommends frequent rest breaks in shaded or air-conditioned areas for outdoor workers.
• If someone succumbs to the heat, promptly relocate them to a cool, shaded location.
