At 2:51 a.m. on Thursday, the National Weather Service released an updated heat advisory valid between 1 p.m. and 8 p.m. The advisory is for Inland Kleberg, Inland Nueces and Inland San Patricio as well as La Salle, McMullen, Live Oak, Webb, Duval and Jim Wells counties.
“Heat index values up to 113 degrees expected,” comments the NWS. “Major risk of heat-related impacts.”
“Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses,” says the NWS.
